June 2, the China-Europe Business Forum was held in Tianjin to deepen the city's economic and trade cooperation with Europe and to promote the city's economic and trade investment-related policies and business environment. Lian Maojun, executive member of the municipal party committee and secretary of the Binhai New Area district party committee, Jorge Toledo, EU Ambassador to China, and Cai Guanshan, the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, the Hong Kong Chinese General Chamber of Commerce, Chairman of the Bohai Sea Entrepreneurs Alliance, Chairman of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Entrepreneurs Alliance, Chairman of Hong Kong Xinhua Group attended and delivered a speech.

Lian Maojun pointed out in his speech that the forum for China and Europe business community to build a high-end exchange platform, Binhai New Area welcome enterprises from all countries into China, into Tianjin, and hope that entrepreneurs firm confidence and share the development opportunities. Binhai New Area will continue to create a first-class business environment and protect the rights and interests of foreign investment according to the law.

Mr. Jorge Toledo said that he is very optimistic about China and appreciates Tianjin. The EU is one of China's largest export markets and there is great potential for cooperation between the two sides. He hoped that in the future, both sides can enhance communication, increase mutual trust, continue to expand the breadth and depth of cooperation, and move forward hand in hand to achieve mutual benefit and win-win.

Cai Guanshuang said that Tianjin is the first demonstration city of China-EU regional cooperation, and has been cooperating comprehensively with Europe in regional cooperation, economic and trade exchanges, industrial investment, etc. He hoped that with this forum, we can jointly discuss the road to promote global economic and trade cooperation and develop together in technology, products and trade.
