The groundbreaking ceremony for the third-phase expansion project of Goglio (Tianjin) Packaging Co., Ltd. (referred to as Goglio Tianjin) was held in Tianjin Port Free Trade Zone. The total investment of the project is 15 million Euros. After completion, the project will help Goglio expand its product line, increase overall production capacity, and empower the company to develop in high-speed and high-quality.

Goglio Tianjin is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Italian Goglio Group. It was registered and established in the TJFTZ zone in 2004 and was completed and put into production in 2006. The company mainly engaged in aseptic packaging bags for liquid products, bags in boxes, composite packaging bags for industrial products, the patented one-way exhaust valve and automatic packaging equipment for coffee products, and the production business of supporting plastic parts and hot-filling equipment. At present, the company has passed ISO9001 quality management system, British Retail Consortium BRC packaging materials global standard, FSSC22000 food safety system certification, kosher certification, international HALAL certification, and many other quality system certifications and food safety certifications. From January to July this year, Goglio's revenue reached 100 million yuan, and the output of various composite films and flexible packaging bags was nearly 7,000 tons.

In order to build the Tianjin plant into a modern new plant with leading technology and a unique scale in China, Goglio invested 15 million euros in the expansion of the plant and the construction of the third-phase project. It is reported that the project's total area is nearly 17,000 square meters, and the total construction area is about 7,400 square meters. Faced with the current severe global situation, Goglio chose to face the difficulties and challenges and ensure the smooth progress of the project's third phase with the full cooperation of the entire company. Goglio General Manager Mirko Turrina said that the construction of the third-phase project includes two parts, the production area and the non-production area. The production area comprises dry-laminated production workshops, new warehouses, unloading platforms, waste warehouses, etc. non-production areas include office front halls, fire control rooms, fire pools, pump rooms, and substations. The project will mainly produce dry laminating films, with an estimated annual output of 6,000 tons. Mirko Turrina told the reporter that Goglio would treat safety in production as the top priority and keep improving food safety and product quality. In addition, Goglio will target the green and low-carbon packaging market, improve the R&D capabilities of high-tech and new materials, provide complete and sustainable packaging solutions for partners in China and Asia, and strive to become the industry benchmark in the Asian market. They hope to assist Tianjin Port Free Trade Zone to accelerate the construction of a modern industrial system, improve openness, and contribute to the high-quality development of the economy in Tianjin.
