  • According to the website of the Civil Aviation Administration of China, the recent Italian direct flight to China triggered the circuit breaker mechanism due to the rise in imported cases, and the NO946 (Milan to Tianjin) flights operated by Neos Air on January 13 and January 20 will be suspended. The Chinese Embassy and Consulates in Italy hereby inform you as follows:

    1. During the circuit breaker of the direct flight to China (from January 14), if you need to go to China, please take a flight from Italy to China for a transit flight, and apply for a health code from the Chinese embassy or consulate in Italy and the place of transit respectively in accordance with the relevant regulations. The connecting time stay does not exceed 3 days (e.g. if the departure from Italy is 14 January, the date of the connecting flight to China from a third country is not more than 17 January at the latest).

    2. Passengers must undergo their first nucleic acid test on the 7th day before boarding in Italy (e.g. on flight 14 January, the first nucleic acid test must be done on 7 January). Under the condition of negative nucleic acid test above, self-closed-loop management is carried out for 7 days and the "Self-Health Status Monitoring Form" is truthfully filled in, nucleic acid and serum antibody "double tests" are carried out 48 hours before boarding, and the origin health code is applied to the Chinese embassy or consulate in Italy. The above tests must be completed at the designated institution of the embassy or consulate in Italy.

    3. When applying for a health code at the transit location, please upload the local "double test" report and the screenshot of the health code issued by the Chinese Embassy or Consulates in Italy together with the system for review. For passengers who have made more than one transit from their own intentions, the Chinese Embassy and Consulates in Italy will not issue health codes.

    4. According to the relevant regulations, from 00:00 on the day of the resumption of direct flights from Italy to China (local time in Italy), the Chinese Embassy and Consulates in Italy will no longer issue health codes for passengers transiting to China through a third country departing from Italy. Passengers who really need to go to China in the near future are requested to maintain close communication with the relevant airlines before purchasing tickets, and arrange their itinerary properly to avoid unnecessary economic losses.

The Chinese Embassy and Consulates in Italy once again remind that the current global epidemic situation is still severe and complex, and the risk of cross-infection on international travel, especially transit flights, is relatively large, and it is recommended that everyone still adhere to "non-essential, non-urgent, and non-travel". Effectively protect the health and safety of yourself and your family.
