In March 2019, during Chinese President Xi Jinping's visit to Italy, the leaders of the two countries attended the signing and exchange of the bilateral Memorandum of Understanding on the joint promotion of the "Belt and Road initiative." Over two years, the cooperation between China and Italy related to this initiative has achieved a series of results,  freeing up the potential for cooperation in different areas. On this topic, the senior researcher at the Institute of European Studies of CASS, Prof. Sun Yanhong, and the president of the Italian-Chinese Association for the Promotion of the New Silk Road, Francesco Maringiò, carried out their research and commented on different aspects of cooperation in the framework of "Belt and Road."
