For the occasion, the two countries published a three-year action plan (2024-2027) to strengthen this partnership, emphasizing that the two countries, persisting in the traditional spirit of the Silk Road, intend to deepen mutually beneficial cooperation and support mutual learning between civilizations, so as to bring bilateral relations to a higher level and make greater contributions to peace, to global stability and prosperity. During the visit, the premiers of the two countries jointly participated in the opening ceremony of the seventh meeting of the China-Italy Business Forum and attended the signing of numerous cooperation documents in the fields of industry, education, environmental protection, geographical indications, food safety, etc.

During the meetings and talks, the leaders of the two countries agreed that the friendly exchanges between China and Italy have historical roots and have made important contributions to exchanges and mutual learning between the civilizations of East and West. The two sides will inherit and enhance traditional friendship and maintain high-level exchanges, continuously consolidating political trust, so as to jointly build more resilient, mature and stable bilateral relations. Italy reiterated its persistence in the "One China" policy. The two sides agreed to make the best use of the role of the China-Italy Intergovernmental Committee and dialogue platforms in various sectors to strengthen practical cooperation in trade and investment, industrial production, scientific and technical innovation, green energy, artificial intelligence, etc. Taking the opportunity of the commemoration of the 700th anniversary of Marco Polo's death, the two sides will also deepen exchanges and cooperation in the fields of culture, education, tourism and sport, so as to deepen the friendship between the two countries. The two sides support the deepening of the comprehensive strategic partnership between China and the EU and the appropriate resolution of differences through dialogue and consultations, so as to avoid the escalation of economic and trade frictions. Both intend to strengthen multilateral coordination, oppose separatism, antagonism, decoupling and disconnection of industrial chains, and will work together to address global challenges.
