The airsupport demand released in the field of emergency rescue provides support forthe development of China’s helicopter industry. China Flying Dragon GeneralAviation Co., Ltd. is a leading general aviation company in China in terms offleet size. Gong Quan, General Manager of the company, introduced that thecompany has signed an order for 22 AC series civil helicopters with AviationIndustry Corporation of China, LTD. These helicopters would be widely used invarious scenarios such as emergency rescue, plateau operations, and medicalrescue.
Helicoptersalso play an irreplaceable role in the offshore oil service field. InSeptember, Typhoon Hagibis directly hit the eastern oil fields of China’s SouthChina Sea. China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC) formed a two-channelcoordinated evacuation through 57 helicopter sorties and 5 ship sorties within48 hours, and safely transferred 1,713 offshore drilling platform operators,achieving zero casualties.
