On July 26, the Tianjin Binhai Intelligent Cold Chain Industrial Park Project operated by Tianjin Aoshun Huamao Cold Chain Logistics Co., Ltd., an enterprise in the Tianjin Port Free Trade Zone, was officially opened for operation. This is the first large-scale bonded cold storage in the Tianjin Port Comprehensive Free Trade Zone, the Project is expected to build a public service platform for the integration of the supply chain of food ingredients in North China, to integrate the production, circulation and consumption of food ingredients to develop an ecosystem of the supply chain of food ingredients, and the annual turnover is expected to be over 100,000 tons.

In recent years, as driven by consumption, the demands for cold chain logistics in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Region has been growing, driving the continuous heating of the cold chain logistics industry in Tianjin. As Tianjin is included in the national backbone cold chain base network construction among the "National Team", as the "City Refrigerator" in the North China, the cold chain industry in Tianjin is developing rapidly. Beijiang Port serves as the main import port for meat and chilled products for Tianjin Port, with the import volumes of meat and chilled aquatic products representing approximately 60% of the total import volume of Tianjin Port, and the seaport area of Tianjin Port Free Trade Zone is located within the Tianjin Beijiang Port area, featuring a relatively favorable location advantage and industrial foundation.

To implement the Work Program for Promoting High-Quality Development of Cold Chain Industry in Tianjin, to promote the construction of cold chain industry development layout featuring "Two Bases, Three Hubs and Multiple Nodes", and to build a national backbone cold chain logistics base in the Binhai New Area as well as a business service-oriented national logistics hub, Tianjin Port Free Trade Zone has continuously engaged in the work of strengthening and replenishing the cold chain industry, and has continuously intensified its efforts of attracting large-scale and high-quality cold chain enterprises in China. Tianjin Binhai Wisdom Cold Chain Industrial Park Project represents a positive exploration of Tianjin Port Free Trade Zone in making full use of the advantages of the port and perfecting the functions of the region, with a total investment of RMB 80 million, an area of 17,403.54 square meters, and a capacity of 20,000 tons, which is the first large-scale bonded cold storage facility in the Tianjin Port Comprehensive Free Trade Zone.
