Cold rolled ultra-thin carbon steel refers to plain carbon steel strips with a width of 600mm or more and a thickness of less than 0.1mm. It has the advantage of being thin and having certain strength simultaneously, and through subsequent galvanization, chromium and other plating, it can achieve the replacement of functional materials such as aluminum, copper and stainless steel, thereby effectively reducing costs. Cold rolled ultra-thin carbon steel will be mainly employed in a number of high-end emerging fields such as electronic components, optical cable armor and new energy battery cladding steel with broad development prospects.

By leveraging the experience in the production of extremely thin stainless steel specifications of Tiancai Technology Company, in conjunction with the experience in heat treatment capabilities of Cold Rolled Sheet Company and Cold Rolled Plate Industry Company, the production path of cross-subsidiary companies was regrouped, key production processes were optimized and adjusted, the shortcomings in equipment technology between the subsidiaries were complemented, and the design limits of each subsidiary were broken through, resulting in the successful development of cold-rolled ultra-thin carbon steel.” Wang Yaodong, Director of Production and Operation Department and Deputy General Manager of Cold Rolled Sheet Company of Decai Technology Group, said that in trial production stage, the thinnest specification of the product reaches 0.03mm, which is 1/2 thickness of ordinary A4 paper, of which 0.06-0.15mm thickness has already reached the batch production capacity. Upon inspection, the product fully satisfied the design target requirements.
