Recently, Sinograin (Tianjin) Warehousing & Logistics Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Tianjin Warehousing Company"), an enterprise in Tianjin Port Free Trade Zone, has been promoting the logistics warehousing project with high quality and efficiency under the premise of preventing and controlling the COVID-19 epidemic. As the largest shallow round silo cluster in the Beijing-Tianjin area, the Project has been designed to be the "Great Grain Silo for the Great Nation" of the new era.

   Tianjin Warehousing Company is a warehousing and logistics enterprise approved by Sinograin. Since the establishment, Tianjin Warehousing Company has been developing rapidly by relying on the unique location advantage of Free Trade Zone. The main roads in the port area, such as Huanghe Road and Changjiang Road, are directly connected to the coastal highway and to Beijing-Tianjin-Tanggu Expressway, Beijing-Shanghai Expressway, Tianjin-Shanxi Expressway and Tianjin-Baoding Expressway, enabling fast transportation of oil and grease. As it is about 1 km away from the special grain and oil terminal, the soybeans arriving at the port can be directly deposited into the warehouse through the public corridor with an unloading rate of 1,000 tons per hour. It also features an output corridor leading directly into Beijing Grain Group (Tianjin) Grain and Oil Industry Co., Ltd. with a shipping rate of 500 tons per hour.

To further improve the grain reserve capacity and circulation capability of Sinograin in Beijing and Tianjin, guarantee mobilization and use when urgently needed by the country, and better play the role of the main force of grain and oil macro-control, the logistics project of Tianjin Storage Company has been officially implemented. It is introduced that the Project is divided into three phases of construction, and the total warehouse capacity can reach 700,000 tons upon completion. In particular, the construction missions of production and related auxiliary facilities such as shallow round silo and power transformation and distribution room of Phase I and Phase II of the Project have been completed, while production and related auxiliary facilities such as shallow round silo and central control building of Phase III of the Project are under construction.

   Upon full completion of the Project, it will serve the task of central grain reserves consolidation, realize the consolidation of grain storage off-site to the management of storage, effectively reduce the risk of off-site grain storage, and undertake part of the tasks of new national policy reserves, better guarantee the strategic security of national grain resources, and contribute to the achievement of the goal of "two securities".

   According to the person in charge of Sinograin (Tianjin) Warehousing and Logistics Co., Ltd, this Project will become the largest shallow round warehouse cluster in the Beijing-Tianjin area upon completion, which will not only satisfy the requirements of the central reserve grain rotation management, but also fulfill the processing and transit needs of other grain and oil enterprises in Tianjin Port Free Trade Zone, and drive the surrounding grain and oil processing industry to improve the production capacity. In the future, Tianjin Warehousing Company will fully leverage the international agricultural market and agricultural resources, utilize the coordinated operation mechanism of reserve and import, perform the role of national reserve reservoir and buffer, and fully guarantee national food security.
