Industrial output value above the scale increased by 8.7% and industrial added value increased by 3%, driving regional GDP growth by 1.0%...In the first half of this year, Tianjin Port Free Trade Zone has focused on the stabilization of the economy and the strategy of "building the city based on manufacturing" and "strengthening the district by manufacturing", and developed its own "4+2+3" modern industrial industry system based on the "1+3+4" modern industrial industry system of the city, and vigorously promoted the development of advanced manufacturing industries, with significant development of new kinetic energy and the development trend of high-quality industries above the scale.

   Deepening of Industrial Restructuring

   In the first half of this year, Free Trade Zone has deepened its industrial restructuring, and achieved high growth in strategic emerging industries and high-tech manufacturing industries represented by pharmaceutical manufacturing, aerospace and equipment manufacturing, with an output value growth of 16% and 28.4% respectively, and an industrial value added growth rate of 9.7% and 38.6% respectively, 8.4% and 31.1% above the city level. These figures are underlying the actual embodiment of the continuous development and growth of the enterprises, in the first half of the year, enterprises such as Kodon Electronics and Naton Medical Protection have doubled the output values, and IRENE Medical and Airbus Tianjin have achieved new record of growth in output value.

   The ability of science and technology innovation decides the speed of regional development, and technology-based enterprises constitute the source of regional development, the transformation of dynamic energy in Free Trade Zone continues to accelerate, and enterprises are also progressing from "manufacturing" to "intelligent manufacturing".

   As a backbone enterprise in the national dry-type transformer industry, TBEA Tianjin has relied on the good business environment in Free Trade Zone and built a dry-type transformer digital factory of 15,000 square meters with high standard, and the visible and tangible practical results have enabled the enterprise to truly experience the advantages of "improving quality, reducing cost and increasing efficiency" brought by digital transformation.        Naton Medical Protection, an enterprise settled in Tianjin Port Free Trade Zone two years ago, now has a daily production capacity of more than 10 million facial masks, the main structure of its new factory construction project has recently topped out, in the future, the enterprise will continue to introduce new technologies and new materials, strengthen the construction of production capacity, and contribute to the regional high-quality development.

   Remarkable Effectiveness in Attracting New Dynamic Energy

   This year, a fruitful innovation-driven development has been made in Tianjin Port Free Trade Zone, with 19 achievements in the zone being recognized by the Tianjin Science and Technology Award in 2021, with remarkable achievements in science and technology innovation. Future Television Limited (NewTV), an enterprise within the zone, has been approved as a national enterprise technology center, further enhancing the regional technological innovation capability. Three organizations within the zone were evaluated as the first batch of public service platforms for industrial technology foundation in Tianjin, thereby providing strong support for the city to accelerate the implementation of innovation-driven development strategy and promote technological innovation and sustainable industrial development. Meanwhile, Free Trade Zone has been rated as Excellent in the annual evaluation of the national regional category of dual innovation demonstration bases, and the regional ecology of integration and innovation is becoming increasingly mature.

   Nowadays, science and technology-based enterprises have become the "new momentum" for the high-quality economic development of Tianjin Port Free Trade Zone. Recently, Binhai New Area for the first time released the list of the Top 100 leading private enterprises in the New Area in 2021. A total of 8 enterprises including Jinfa New Materials, IRENE Medical, Ringpu Biological, etc. were ranked among the top 20 industrial enterprises in the strategic emerging industries. And in the recent list of top 100 eagles, gazelles and science and technology leaders announced by the Tianjin Science and Technology Bureau in 2021, 32 enterprises in Free Trade Zone were honored on the list, demonstrating the model benchmark role of science and technology-based enterprises in Free Trade Zone. Meanwhile, 9 enterprises in Free Trade Zone were listed in the list of the first batch of municipal "Specialized and New" enterprises in 2022 recently announced by the Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology, thereby contributing to the reserve strength for the declaration of national-level Specialized and New "Small Giants".

   To implement the strategic deployment of "building the city based on manufacturing" and "strengthening the district by manufacturing", give full play to the key role of industrial chain projects in optimizing industrial structure, stabilizing industrial operation and supporting high-quality development, Tianjin Port Free Trade Zone has recently formulated and released an implementation plan for high-quality development of regional manufacturing industry, and focused on building a "4+2+3" modern industrial system, with a view to realizing stable improvement of manufacturing quality and reasonable growth of quantity, and building Free Trade Zone into an open and leading area for high-quality development of manufacturing industry. Meanwhile, the Science and Industry Bureau of Free Trade Zone, in conjunction with the Specific Measures for the Implementation of the Comprehensive Package of Policies and Measures to Stabilize the Economy in Tianjin Port Free Trade Zone, recently hosted a supply and demand matching exchange meeting between the equipment manufacturing industry and the metal products industry chain, a special matchmaking meeting among the FMCG government, banks and enterprises, etc. By building a supply and demand platform for enterprises, it is expected to promote the integration and stability of the industry chain supply chain and contribute to the high-quality development of the manufacturing real economy.

   In the next step, Tianjin Port Free Trade Zone will fully put into practice the implementation plan for high-quality development of manufacturing industry, focus on the "4+2+3" modern industrial industry system, highlight the four core industries of marine economy, civil aviation, hydrogen energy and bio-manufacturing, implement the mechanism of industry chain work task force, vigorously promote investment in industry chain prior to project follow-up.
