In 2021, the development of the hydrogen energy industry in the Free Trade Zone has also been accelerating. Tianjin New Hydrogen Power Technology Co., Ltd., located in the hydrogen energy industry demonstration zone, officially delivered 37 sets of hydrogen fuel cell forklifts to Yanshan Petrochemical. In the future, this batch of hydrogen fuel cell forklifts will be applied to scenarios such as high-pressure and low-pressure powder in Yanshan Petrochemical Storage and Transportation Plant, PIA packaging warehouse and chemical storage area in Material Equipment Center, to realize the replacement of the original internal combustion engine forklifts and open a "new era of hydrogen" for industrial vehicles in petrochemical industry, marking the first batch commercial application of hydrogen fuel cell forklifts in China.

It is understood that, in accordance with the Action Plan for the Development of Hydrogen Energy Industry in Tianjin Port Free Trade Zone (2020-2022), by 2022, one hydrogen refueling base station and six hydrogen refueling stations will be built in the Free Trade Zone, no less than 800 hydrogen fuel cell vehicles (including forklifts, logistics vehicles and public transport buses) will be operated, the annual output value of the hydrogen energy industry chain will strive to reach RMB 12 billion, and the Tianjin Hydrogen Energy Industry Demonstration Park will be initially built to become a first-class park in the domestic hydrogen energy industry.
