Focusing on the "1+3+4" modern industrial system, the Free Trade Zone has implemented a high-quality development plan for industrial chains, promoted the transformation and upgrading of traditional industries, and accelerated the development of strategic emerging industries. The Municipal Themed Industrial Park of Marine Equipment, Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Fuel Cell Vehicle Demonstration City Cluster have been approved, 5 enterprises have been assessed as national green manufacturing projects, and 23 "small and growing" enterprises have been included in the database. The development of emerging services is dynamic, with revenues from high-tech services and modern emerging services increasing by 41.1%.
　　Adhering to scientific and technological innovation to release the vitality, the Free Trade Zone vigorously cultivates innovative subjects, actively builds innovation platforms, and achieves breakthroughs in key technologies. The input of regional R&D has reached 5.96%, the laboratory of synthetic biology in Haihe has been inaugurated, and the dual-innovation center has been approved as a "National Science and Technology Business Incubator". Five enterprises have been awarded first and second prizes of National Science and Technology Progress, and the project of "Synthesis of Carbon Dioxide to Starch" has been elected as one of the "Top Ten Advances in Chinese Life Sciences" in 2021.
