The Canada LNG Project is the largest energy investment project in the history of Canada, with four production lines planned, of which two lines are planned to be built in Phase I with an annual production capacity of 13 million tonnes of LNG. Upon completion and operation, the Project will supply high-quality LNG to the Asian region, which is conducive to the diversification of natural gas import channels in China. It is understood that CNOOC has contracted the construction of 35 modules in Phase I of the project, including all 19 core process modules, with a total weight of about 178,830 tons. For the first time in the world, the Project has realized the integrated joint construction of core process module plus pipeline corridor module and pioneered a number of new processes and technologies, which is a vivid reflection that LNG modular plant construction capability in China has reached international advanced level.
　　Since 2010, CNOOC has completed international large-scale LNG modular construction projects such as Gorgon and Ichthys, and successfully delivered the first polar LNG plant in the world, the Yamal LNG project, in August 2017, making it the first company in the world to deliver LNG core process modules ahead of schedule, and pioneering the first Chinese company to independently complete international LNG core process modules. In the future, CNOOC will further refine the international reputation of China as a high-end manufacturer and contribute to the development of the Tianjin Port Free Trade Zone as a leading area for the manufacturing of high-end offshore equipment and facilities, and simultaneously promote China to be among the "First Echelon" of international LNG module construction.
