To thoroughly implement the important instructions of General Secretary Xi Jinping in his inspection of Tianjin and the important speech at the Symposium on Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Cooperative Development, and according to the Opinions of the State Council on Promoting and High Quality Development of Comprehensive Free Trade Zone and other relevant requirements, Tianjin Port Free Trade Zone actively plans and continuously promotes the integration of special customs supervision areas, and applies for the integration and optimization of Tianjin Port Free Trade Zone and Tianjin Port Comprehensive Free Trade Zone into the new Tianjin Port Comprehensive Free Trade Zone in November 2019, focusing on building a new comprehensive free trade zone with clustered industries, outstanding features and high-quality development.

　　A person in charge of the Management Committee of Tianjin Port Free Trade Zone expressed that the integrated and optimized Tianjin Port Comprehensive Free Trade Zone would implement a high level of trade and investment liberalization and facilitation policies, based on objective reality, to enhance the level of development and save management costs. Meanwhile, centering on the four existing industrial clusters of international trade, processing and manufacturing, bonded logistics as well as exhibition and sales, efforts will be made to actively introduce bonded R & D, design and maintenance and other service trade emerging industries, to build a bonded storage and display trading center for imported cars, a distribution center for commodities, a demonstration base for cross-border e-commerce, and a base for R & D, design and processing and manufacturing, to promote the optimization and upgrading of industrial structure while empowering industrial development with science and technology, and to contribute more to the construction of the socialist modern metropolis of Tianjin.
