Recently, Diefeng New Energy, a representative enterprise in the shipping carbon emission reduction and environmental protection industry in Tianjin Port Free Trade Zone, was successfully included in top ten of the first Global Port and Shipping Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition in 2021 with its "rotor sail project". This is also the only Tianjin project in the top ten list, which is of great significance to implement the goal of "carbon dioxide emissions peaking and carbon neutrality" and promote offshore energy conservation and emission reduction.
　　Recently, Diefeng New Energy, which is fully called Diefeng New Energy Technology (Tianjin) Co., Ltd., successfully had its presence in Tianjin Port free Trade Zone. It is a high-tech enterprise focusing on the field of marine energy conservation and emission reduction, and is committed to R&D and production of marine energy conservation equipment. At present, it has owned more than 30 patents of rotor sail with independent intellectual property rights, and the production capacity of 24m × 4m rotor sail products, which are suitable for ships of 30,000 tons and above.
　　At present, Diefeng New Energy has achieved the annual capacity of 30 sets of 24m×4m rotor sails, and reached the intention of cooperation with European customers. In addition, Diefeng New Energy is stepping up R&D of 35m×5m rotor sails and other wind auxiliary propulsion equipment, and signed a cooperation agreement with TZ (Tianjin) Binhai Heavy Machinery Co., Ltd., jointly carrying out the production, installation and promotion of the rotor sail project. It is expected to retrofit and install the rotor sail system for 2 to 3 oil tankers and bulk carriers in 2022.
