Recently, the construction of Airport Hospital Phase II of Tianjin Medical University General Hospital was officially commenced. The implementation of the project will help expand the number of sickbeds in Airport Hospital, improve the level of hospital intelligence, optimize the linkage mode of medical treatment association, build a high-level international medical center, and promote the further upgrade of the medical and health industry in the free trade zone.

　　Airport Hospital Phase II covers the new construction area of Airport Hospital Phase II of 104,716 square meters, including 51,655 square meters of aboveground floor area, mainly including Phase II inpatient building, International Medical Department and inpatient building, ancillary buildings, etc. The construction of the project will fully combine the design concept of sponge city, taking full consideration into the six elements of "infiltration, storage, stagnation, purification, use and discharge", and realizing the functions of infiltration, storage, regulation and transfer through permeable pavement, sunken greening and other low-impact development technologies. Through the construction of sponge city, 75% of the rainfall will be absorbed and utilized locally.

　　It is learned that the project is planned to be completed for acceptance in 2024. The construction of Phase II of the project will help improve the level of regional medical services, enhance the regional public health emergency response capacity, and further meet the needs of residents for high-quality and international medical services.
