Recently, the first core process module of the Canadian LNG (liquefied natural gas) project built by CNOOC Engineering Company subordinate to CNOOC was completed and delivered at the site in Qingdao. The project realized the integrated construction of core process module with pipe gallery module for the first time in the world, creating a number of new processes and technologies.
　　It is planned to build four production lines in the Canadian LNG project, of which two production lines is planned to be built in Phase I, with an annual output of 13 million tons of LNG. After the project is completed and put into operation, high-quality LNG will be supplied to China and other Asian countries, which is conducive to diversifying the channels of import of natural gas in China. The module delivered this time, a common core process module, consists of three main decks, with the height of 37 meters and the weight of 5,465 tons, mainly responsible for the pretreatment of feed gas. After delivery, the first module will be shipped and transported to the project site in Kitimat, British Columbia, Canada, for on-site installation
　　Yu Yi, chairman of CNOOC, said that the Canadian LNG project is another super large core process module construction project undertaken by CNOOC after the Yamal project, the world's first polar LNG project, was successfully delivered in 2017, marking that the LNG high-end modular construction capacity of CNOOC has steadily ranked in the first echelon of the international industry.
