Recently, the swivel construction of continuous beam spanning Tianjin-Bazhou Railway on Tianjin-Beijing Daxing International Airport Railway was successfully completed. This swivel construction is the only one spanning the existing railway, marking the completion of the swivel construction of continuous beam along the whole line of Tianjin-Daxing Railway.

It is reported that the design of the bridge adopts the plane swivel construction method to span the existing TianjinBazhou Railway, taking the rotation system dominated by the spherical hinge center support and supplemented by the rotary road support. The swivel structure is arranged at the bottom of the main pier column, which is composed of upper and lower turntables, spherical hinges, supporting feet, annular slideway, traction system and boost system. Before the swivel, the swivel structure was weighed and the actual center of gravity position was measured. The unbalanced bending moment was eliminated by temporarily balancing the weight, so that all the weight of the swivel structure is mainly borne by the central spherical hinge, thus the swivel construction was successfully completed.TianjinDaxing Railway starts from Tianjin West Railway Station and ends at Beijing Daxing International Airport Station, with a total length of 100.79 km. It is an important trunk line connecting Tianjin, Beijing Daxing International Airport and Beijing downtown areas. After the whole line is completed and open to traffic, it only takes half an hour from Tianjin to Xiong’an New Area and Beijing Daxing International Airport.
