Tianjin Port Free Trade Zone is the core functional area of Binhai New Area and also an important aviation industry base in China. Especially since the Airbus A320 project was settled in 2006, relying on the national development strategy, Tianjin Port Free Trade Zone has highlighted the characteristics of international cooperation, gathered key industrial links, vigorously developed aviation manufacturing, aviation maintenance, aviation logistics and aviation services, and gathered a number of major projects with driving force and influence.

Facing the second Centennial struggle goal and based on the new development stage, by implementing the new development concept and building a new development pattern, the free trade zone will make full use of the advantages of opening and innovation of the pilot Free Trade Zone to highlight the characteristics of international cooperation, accelerate the pace of vertical integration of the supply chain, and build the “four beams and eight pillars” of Airbus Asia. That is to improve four capabilities---production capacity, supporting capacity, engineering capacity and service capacity, and build eight centers---assembly delivery center, production supporting center, engineering technology center, maintenance and modification center, aviation material logistics center, professional training center, customer experience center and financial service center.

At the same time, the free trade zone will cultivate the development pattern of helicopter industry chain and build a helicopter industry base integrating helicopter R&D, production, maintenance, delivery and service, give full play to the functional advantages of industrial agglomeration and free trade, expand and strengthen the aviation maintenance industry, and build a well-known aviation maintenance and remanufacturing base in China, accelerate the construction of international aviation logistics center, further focus on port functions, optimize customs clearance environment to form large ports, large trade and large logistics, and improve the scale and level of airport port economy. Through a series of measures, the free trade zone will strive to build a more perfect aviation industry system with higher level and larger scale and create a new high for the development of China's aviation industry.
