The national integrated coal gasification combined cycle power generation demonstration project built by Huaneng (Tianjin) Coal Gasification Power Generation Co., Ltd is the China's first and the world's sixth large-scale IGCC power station.

　　Tianjin IGCC demonstration power station is a "national clean coal power generation demonstration project" and "research and development base of green coal power based on IGCC under the National 863 Plan". It is a science and technology project supported by China's "11th Five Year Plan", "12th Five Year Plan" 863 plan and "12th Five Year Plan" science and technology support plan. The company has won more than ten national honors and awards such as the second prize of National Scientific and Technological Progress, and was rated as a national high-tech enterprise in 2020. The award-winning patent of the company is "a dry pulverized coal pressurized gasification device with organic wastewater treatment". The invention pioneers the technology to utilize the interactive coupling of dry pulverized coal gasifier and organic wastewater treatment, and solves several key and common technical problems existing in the gasifier such as low carbon conversion rate, non recovery of sensible heat, difficult wastewater treatment and so on under the condition without increasing the new operation cost. It fills the gap at home and abroad.
