The award-granting decision of the 22nd China Patent Award is announced recently. Three patents from four excellent enterprises in Tianjin Port Free Trade Zone won the award. The award quantity is the most over the years of the free trade zone, accounting for a quarter of the total awards in Binhai New Area. It is reported that the China Patent Award is the highest award in China's patent industry. It is jointly organized and carried out by the China National Intellectual Property Administration and the World Intellectual Property Organization. It commends the patentees and inventors (designers) who actively and effectively carry out the creation, application, protection and management of intellectual property rights, and have made outstanding contributions to promoting innovation and pushing economic and social development.

　　There are two China Patent Excellence Awards among the three award-winning patents in the free trade zone. The award-winning enterprises are: Spreadtrum Communications (Tianjin) Co., Ltd, Huaneng (Tianjin) Coal Gasification Power Generation Co., Ltd; one China Appearance Design Excellence Award and the award-winning enterprises are: Tianjin Seagull Watch Industry Group Co., Ltd, Tianjin Seagull Watch Technology Co., Ltd.
