It is reported that the waste classification work in the free trade zone was officially started since the end of 2018, and the work implementation plan was formulated year by year, which determined the time node, implementation steps and division of labor of various departments of the waste classification so as to promote the waste classification work steadily.

　　The free trade zone has distributed more than 1700 four-classification garbage cans in enterprises, institutions and communities and installed 20 garbage classification kiosks for 11 residential areas and wetland parks and 4 groups of intelligent classification garbage cans.

　　Other garbage generated by all 530 public institutions, enterprises and institutions and residential areas in the zone should be collected and cleared every day. All 358 organizations producing kitchen wastes signed collection and transportation agreement with Bihai Environmental Protection Co., Ltd. The free trade zone has become the first zone in the city to realize collection of food waste from enterprise canteens and catering enterprises.

　　2 special vehicles for hazardous waste, 11 special transport vehicles for kitchen waste and 20 special transport and operation vehicles for other waste are equipped to ensure that all kitchen wastes, other wastes and hazardous wastes are collected by classification. All garbage trucks are equipped with GPS tracking equipment to realize information management.

　　In order to ensure the harmless disposal of domestic waste, the Urban Environmental Protection Bureau of the free trade zone has signed a post-treatment agreement with a professional treatment company, which has met the requirement of 100% harmless disposal rate of domestic waste basically at present.

　　The free trade zone has actively carried out publicity and education to cultivate the public's awareness of waste classification. Since the official implementation of the Regulations of Tianjin on the Administration of Domestic Waste (hereinafter referred to as the regulations) on December 1, 2020, it has organized 4 large-scale publicity and education activities and 120 general scale publicity activities.

　　The free trade zone has strengthened law enforcement efforts and clarified the main responsibility of waste classification. Since the formal implementation of the Regulations, 5481 law enforcement personnel have been dispatched, 799 enterprises have been inspected, and 128 Notices of Order for Correction Within a Time Limit have been issued. This improves the awareness of waste classification responsibility of all units effectively.
