After the completion of this "clean artery", the imported natural gas from Tianjin LNG can be continuously transmitted to the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region and North China to ensure the people's livelihood and promote the construction of Xiongan New Area. "After completion  the project will greatly improve the residential heating in winter. As a clean energy, natural gas can reduce the carbon emissions of traditional coal combustion. At the same time, the pipeline in this project will be interconnected with the national natural gas trunk pipelines such as Shaanxi-Beijing Lines II and III and the China-Russia East line, the natural gas branch network in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, and the gas storage group in North China. It will help to realize flexible deployment of different domestic and foreign resources in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, give full play to the peak shaving role of LNG receiving terminal and gas storage in the region, drive the economic and social development along the line, and promote the green and low-carbon development of the regions," said Wang Guanqun, an assistant process engineer in the production and operation department of CNOOC North China Natural Gas Pipeline Co., Ltd..
