On April 13, construction of the first phase of Mengxi pipeline project (Tianjin to Dingxing of Hebei Province), a key project of national oil and gas infrastructure interconnection, was officially started. It is the first trunk pipeline directly supplying gas to Xiongan New Area in China. It is planned to be completed and put into operation by June 30, 2022, with a designed annual gas transmission capacity of 6.6 billion cubic meters.

　　The first phase of Mengxi pipeline project has a total length of 413.5 km and a maximum diameter of 1,016 mm. 8 new stations, 1 reconstructed station, 19 valve chambers and 1 control center will be built along the line, with a total investment of RMB 8.6 billion. The project starts from Lingang offtake station of Tianjin LNG terminal (hereinafter referred to as "Tianjin LNG" for short) and ends at Dingxing offtake station in Baoding, Hebei Province. It can directly supply gas to Xiongan New Area with a designed annual gas transmission capacity of 6.6 billion cubic meters.
