This year, Tianjin Port Free Trade Zone continuously strengthened the introduction of new driving force. In the first quarter, the output value of strategic emerging industries and high-tech manufacturing increased by 42.4% and 20.7% respectively. The three-new service industry (new industries, new business forms and new business models) achieved revenue of RMB 22.14 billion, and the revenue of high-tech service industry increased by 96.4% year on year. The quantity of the "new driving force" entities increased continuously. In the first quarter, 376 enterprises were recognized as national scientific and technological SMEs. The number of leading enterprises in science and technology reached 21, and the number of enterprise technology centers above municipal level reached 54. While the new driving force had accelerated gathering, the construction of projects in the Zone was also progressing smoothly. In March this year, 38 key projects were started, including industrially leading projects, updated and transformed "new driving force" projects, and social livelihood projects that attracted much attention. It is learned that in the first quarter of this year, the Zone completed RMB 4.42 billion of fixed assets investment, with an increase of 11.3%. 46 projects were included in key construction projects of the city, and 34 projects were included in key reserve projects.
