Recently, the river and lake manager office of Binhai New Area announced the appraisal results of the river and lake manager system in 2020. Tianjin Port Free Trade Zone ranked No. 2 among the 24 development areas, blocks and towns involved in the appraisal.

　　The Party committee and administrative committee of Tianjin Port Free Trade Zone have always paid close attention to the work relating to the river and lake manager system. Since 2017, such work has been taken as a key task of the administrative committee. The leaders of the Party committee and the administrative committee have carried out field inspection or survey or issue instructions on the matters relating to this, and strengthened supervision from top down to ensure orderly promotion of various tasks of the Zone and the comprehensive implementation of the river and lake manager system.

　　In 2020, media such as Xinhua News and Binhai News had several reports on the water environment management in Tianjin Port Free Trade Zone. The airport landscape lake won the title of "the most beautiful river or lake" in Tianjin. The urban environment bureau won the title of advanced collective in comprehensive implementation of river and lake manager system granted by the Ministry of Water Resources.
